This Palak Mint Pulao is a perfect recipe for those who love flavours and spice in their food.
Ingredients:
3 bunches of Spinach
A handful of Mint leaves
1 medium-sized Onion
2 Green Chillies
1 cup soaked Basmati Rice
Garlic
Ginger
Salt (As per taste)
2 tsp Ghee
2 tsp Oil
Cloves, Cardamom and Cinnamon
1-1/2 cup Water
Procedure:
1. In a bowl of hot water, add Palak and blanch it for 2-3 minutes. Once, it is blanched, strain the water from it. Take the palak, mint leaves, ginger-garlic, salt and grind it to a fine paste.
2. Now, in a cooker or a vessel, add some ghee, oil and fry cloves, cinnamon and cardamom. Add thinly sliced onions, green chillies and salt and give it a nice stir. Once the onions are fried, add the Palak-mint paste to it and cook it for 2 minutes.
3. Add the soaked basmati rice and mix it well with the mixture. Pour water and when it reaches its boiling point, cook it for 8 minutes. If you are cooking in a cooker, you don’t have to use a whistle.
4. Your Palak Mint Pulao is now ready to be served hot!
