Singhara flour pakoras are a very popular tea time snack in India. It is very easy to make, and tastes amazing when eating it with some masala tea during the rainy season! I hope you enjoyed this recipe, and don’t forget to like and subscribe for more videos.
Ingredients for the pakoras:
-For the batter, you will need:
1/2 teaspoons carom seeds
1/2 teaspoons salt (or to taste)
A pinch of soda
-For the masala you will need:
5-6 boiled potatoes
1 and 1/2 teaspoons chopped green chillies
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 inch of grated ginger
1/2 teaspoons chaat masala
1 cup chopped coriander
2 teaspoons salt (or to taste)
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1/4 teaspoons turmeric powder
1 and 1/2 teaspoons sugar
-For the seasoning, you will need:
1 and 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoons asafoetida
1/2 teaspoons mustard seeds
1/2 teaspoons cumin seeds
1 teaspoon chopped cashew nuts
-For frying the pakoras, you will need:
2-3 cups of vegetable oil
Take excess oil off the pakoras with some paper towels, let them cool for a few minutes and they are ready to be served with a side of ketchup. Enjoy!
