Mathi/Sardine- 6
Shallots – 4
Green chilly – 6-7
Curry leaves – 2 sprigs
Kashmiri chilly powder- 1.5 tablespoon
Coriander powder – 1/2 tablespoon
Salt -as required
Scrapped coconut – half of a coconut
Gambooge/Kudampuli- 3 pieces

Clean and cut the sardine and keep it aside.
Grind coconut, chilly powder, coriander powder and shallots to a smooth paste by adding required water
In a manchatti, add sardine, ground coconut, green chilly, gambooge, salt and required water.
Sprinkle curry leaves on the top.
Let it cook for 15 minutes under medium flame.
Turn off the flame now.
