Description :
Taro root/Nadan Chembu- 250 gram
Kashmeeri chilli powder- one teaspoon
Cumin seeds- a pinch
Turmeric powder – a pinch
Grated coconut- 1 cup or half of a coconut
Curry leaves- 2 sprig
Salt- as required
Oil – as required
Mustard seeds- half teaspoon
Shallots-3
Dry red chillies- 3
Clean taro roots , wash it and cut into medium sized cubes.
In a clay pot add taro root pieces along with turmeric powder,chilly powder,green chilly and salt.
Add required water and cook well.
Grind grated coconut,cumin seeds ,required water to a smooth paste and keep aside.
Remove the lid and check the taro root cooked or not.
Bring down the flame to low ,add ground coconut and combine well .
Let it boil for 3 minutes
.
Heat oil in a small Kadai add mustard seeds,dry red chillies,chopped shallots and curry leaves.
Season it over the curry and mix well.
Turn off the flame and cover with a lid to set the flavors.
