Channa Masala recipe- easy version
Description :
Channa Masala is a very popular side dish made using Chickpeas or channa. It is a great side for roti, naan, batura or rice. This is a very easy and delicious recipe which is highly rich in protein.
The chickpeas needs to be soaked preferably overnight and cooked well till it can be mashed properly. You can also use the canned chickpeas but make sure it is cooked a little bit further before adding to the gravy else it will take a longer time to cook.

Ingredients ( Serves 3-4)
1. Chickpeas or Channa – 250 gms (cooked)
2. Onion- 2
3. Tomato- 2
4. Green chilli- 2-3, Ginger garlic paste- 2 tsp
5. Cinnamon stick-1
6. Cardamom pods- 2
7. Cloves-2
8. Jeera(cumin seeds)- 1/2 tsp
9. Chilli powder- 1 tsp, turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
10. Coriander powder- 2 tsp
11. Channa Masala powder- 1 tsp
12. Oil – 3 tbsp
13. Coriander leaves- few
