This village style fish curry is a traditional South Indian fish recipe, prepared from fried spices and shallots. This meen kulambu goes well with rice and idli. In this recipe, adding gram dal and rice gives thickness to the gravy. If you like you could add coconut milk instead of rice and gram dal. This video recipe describes the steps clearly. You could follow this method for any type of fish. In this recipe i’m using parrot fish / kili meen.
