Muramurala Uggani – How to Cook Borugula Uggani in Telugu by Tasty Vantalu
Description :
Learn how to cook Muramurala uggani, which is also known as Borugula upma in some areas.
Ingredients:
Muramuralu/Borugulu / Puffed rice – 250 gms
Onion – 1 Large size finely chopped
Green chillies – 5 or 6
Fried gram dal – 5 or 6 tea spoons / around 80 grams
Cooking oil – 2 tea spoons
Salt as per requirement
Mustard seeds, cumin seeds , Urad dal, chana dal, turmeric powder and curry leaves for tempering
Cooking process:
Soak Puffed rice for 5 minutes in water and take out puffed rice with strainer or hands and squeeze it and keep it aside.
Now Take a pan and heat it. once it is heated add oil into it. once oil is heated, add cumin seeds and mustard seeds and allow them to splatter.
Now add Urad dal and chana dal, fry them till they turn brown in color.
Now add finely chopped onions, Green chillies, and turmeric powder and fry them till they become soft. Add pinch of salt, so that onions will cook faster.
Now add Soaked Muramura/puffed rice and mix it well.
Now add Fried chana dal powder and salt as per your requirement and mix it well and cook for about for couple of minutes.
