Gongura Roti Pachadi – How to prepare Gongura Chutney in Telugu by Tasty Vantalu

Learn how to prepare traditional Grandma’s style Gongura Roti Pachadi with peanuts combination. Gongura/Sorrel leaves will have iron in it and it is good for health, especially for women.
Ingredients:
Gongura leaves – 2 cups/200 gms
Onion – 1 medium size (roughly chopped)
Dried red chilli – 12 – 15
Peanuts – 3 to 4 tea spoons
Salt as per requirement
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 table spoon
Mustard seeds – 1/4 table spoon
Chana dal – 1/2 table spoon
Cooking oil – 2 Tea spoons.
First we have to boil gongura leaves, for that take a vessel and add gongura, pinch of turmeric powder and 1/2 a cup of water and cook till gongura become and soft and fully boiled.
Now take a Pan and fry peanuts and dried red chillies and keep them aside
Now take blender and add dried red chilli and peanuts and belned them. now add gongura and roughly chopped onions and blend them. Dont blend it like a very fine paste. it should be roughly blended.
Now take a pan and add oil into it and once it is heated add mustard seeds and allow them to splatter. Now add chanadal and curry leaves and fry them till they turn little brown.
Now add chutney into it and mix it well and cook for about 3 – 4 minutes. Thats it friends our gongura chutney is ready.
Note: This is not a pickle and it should be consumed freshly and not preserved for more than 1 or 2 days.
