khara bhath | Rava Bhath | Masale uppittu | Karnataka Kannada Recipes

Description :

Khara bhath is variation of Upma/ uppittu. We use vangibath powder and vegetables of your choice to make it more flavorful and healthy breakfast.
Vangibath powder recipe:

Ingredients:
1 cup local rave/coarse sooji
3 green badanekayi / eggplant/ brinjal
6 tomato
4 tbsp oil
1 tbsp ghee
2.5 cups water
½ tsp mustard seeds
½ tsp uddina bele /split black gram / urad dal
½ tsp kadle bele / split bengal gram / chana dal
2 to 2.5 tbsp vangibath powder
¾ tbsp salt/salt to taste
4 green chillies
chopped coriander leaves
few curry leaves
juice of ½ lemon
½ cup grated coconut

Combination of khara bhath and kesari bath is popularly called chow chow bath,
