Payasa/kheer/payasam can be prepared from many different things. Fruits dals, rice you name it. Each payasam is has its own flavor and taste. Here is one of my favorite payasam using jackfruit/halasina hannu.

ಹಲಸಿನ ಹಣ್ಣು ಅಂದ್ರೆ ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಇದನ್ನು ಹಾಗೆ ತಿನ್ನುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಈ ಹಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಡುಬು, ಪಾಯಸ ಕೂಡ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು.ಹಲಸಿನ ಹಣ್ಣಿನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಸವಿಯಲು ಮರೆಯದಿರಿ.
