ಕೈ ಗೊಜ್ಜು । ಹಸಿ ಗೊಜ್ಜು | Easy to make gojju recipe

Description :

Easy gojju recipe without cooking with available ingredients. Everything is used here is raw .
traditionally this recipe is prepared by mashing the ingredients using hand, Since we cannot handle that burning sensation later, I am using Mortar and pestle to crush the ingredients
Ingredients:
medium lemon size tamarind – wash and soak it in the water
6 green chilies( more or less)
1/4 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp salt or salt to taste
1/2 tsp jeera powder/cumin powder( not roasted)
5 cloves of garlic(small)
few curry leaves and coriander leaves
1/2 cup to 3/4 cup of water

  • For everyone complaining about her not adding jaggery, please add it yourself to your own liking. Because, from what I've seen in many households, jaggery or sugar is not added to THIS RECIPE because the flavours need to be sharp (6 green chillies is no joke) and not rounded like a sambar or any traditional gojju where jaggery is added.

As I said earlier if you do find the need for a sweetener, please add it to your liking.

  • Don’t we need to add Jaggery? Usually for Gojju Jaggery (sweet) is also added besides sour & spice. Thanks.
