Gajar ka Halwa also known as Gajrela is a popular Indian sweet recipe which is specially cooked during festivals.

Ingredients:
500 gms गाजर (कसा हुआ) / Carrot
500 ml दूध / Milk
3/4 कटोरी चीनी /Sugar
1 tbsp घी / Ghee
बादाम / Almonds
1/2 tsp इलाइची पाउडर / Green Cardamoms Powder

Method:
– Heat ghee in a pan.
– Add grated carrots & stir it well.
– After cooking for 1 – 1.5 minutes, add milk and mix it well.
– Let the mixture cook for 10-15 minutes till the milk is reduced to half.
– Add 1/2 – 3/4th cup of sugar, as per taste.
– Cook till all the milk and water is dried out.
– Add 1/2 tsp. roasted cardamom powder and some roasted almond flakes.
– Keep it for cooling for 30 – 40 mins so that it sets nicely.
– Serve hot/cold as you like it.
