Rater Dinner, Masoor Dal Recipe @Someshukla2017 Musur Daler Tarka, Easy Recipe for Roti, Paratha, Steamed Rice. Dal is an important part in every Indian meal. This is a simple Dal Tarka recipe with Red Masoor Dal using everyday ingredients. Serve it hot with Roti, Paratha or Steamed Rice and some salad.

INGREDIENTS:

For cooking Dal:
• Masoor dal (Red Lentil) – ½ cup
• Onion sliced – 1 medium sized
• Tomato – 2 medium sized
• Ginger – 1 inch sized
• Garlic – 10 to 12 cloves
• Green chillies – 2 to 3
• Turmeric powder – ½ teaspoon
• Red chilli powder – ½ teaspoon
• Cumin powder – ½ teaspoon
• Coriander powder – ½ teaspoon
• Water – 2 cups
• Mustard oil – 2 tablespoons
• Salt to taste

For Tempering:
• Whole cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
• Garlic – 6 to 7 cloves
• Onion sliced – half an onion
• Asafoetida – ½ teaspoon
• Kashmiri chilli powder – ½ teaspoon
• Ghee – 2 teaspoons
Other Ingredients:
• Eggs – 2 nos.
• Coriander leaves – a handful
