Mornings are a hustle for most moms out there and to decide what would be a quick but nutritious recipe is the most common question on our minds. Try this 5 Minutes Lunch Box Tiffin Recipe. Healthy Nutritious Oats Besan Chilla for Lunch box or Breakfast. Adding vegetables is optional, but it will make these chillas more flavorful and satiating.
INGREDIENTS:
• Rolled/Instant Oats – 1 cup
• Besan – 1 cup
• Ajwain/Carrom seeds – a pinch
• Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
• Red chilli powder – ¼ tsp
• Asafoetida – a pinch (avoid if want to make gluten free chilla)
• Add chopped/grated vegetables of your choice (onion, capsicum, carrot, tomato, coriander leaves, green chillies etc.)
• Grated ginger – ½ tsp
• Salt to taste
• Water to make batter
• Oil/ghee for cooking
Some Useful Tips:
1. Do not make the batter too thin. Or else the chillas will tear while flipping.
2. Better to use homemade Oats flour.
3. You can add 1/4 tsp of baking powder in the recipe, to make the chillas fluffy like pancakes.
