Here is another Traditional Bengali Fish Recipe Rui Posto. This is very delicious bengali style fish recipe. So learn step by step how to cook Rui Posto and make it at home.
Ingredients of Rui Posto Recipe:
1. Rui Mach / Rohu fish (300 gm).
2. Onion Paste (2 medium sizes).
3. Slitted green chilli (4 no).
4. Poppy seed paste (3 tbsp)
5. Turmeric powder (1 tsp).
6. Salt (as per your taste).
7. Sugar (as per your taste).
8. Mustard oil.
9. 2 Bay leaves.
Methods of How to make Rui Posto:
1. Marinate the Rohu fish with ½ tsp of turmeric powder and ¼ tsp of salt. Keep it for 5 min.
2. Heat the pan and add musterd oil in it. Fry the rohu fish very well.
3. Take 4 tbsp of mustard oil in hot pan.
4. Add 2 bay leaves. Add onion paste after 10 sec. Fry till become golden brown.
5. Add ¼ tsp turmeric powder, ¼ tsp salt. 1 tsp sugar and slitted green chilli. Mixed it well. Fry for 1 min in medium flame.
6. Now cook in high flame. Add 3 tbsp of poppy seed paste. Fry it for 30 sec.
7. Add 1.5 cups of water. When boiling add fried rohu fishes.
8. Cover the lid for 5 min. Cook in medium flame.
9. After 5 min turn over the fishes and cover the lid for 5 min again. Cook in medium flame.
10. Now cook in high flame for3 min.
11. Taste it. Add more salt or sugar as per your taste.
12. Your recipe of Rui Posto is ready. Serve hot rui posto with hot steamed rice, pulao etc.
