Rui Macher Doi Shorshe – Popular Bengali Style Rohu Fish With Mustard Paste And Yogurt in Bengali

Here is another famous Bengali Rui Fish recipe Rui Macher Doi Shorshe. Most of Bengalis love this Doi Shorshe Rui recipe. it is also very popular Bengali recipe for Marriage Party, Annaprashan and Upanayan and other Bengali Ceremony.

Ingredients of Rui Macher Doi Shorshe:
1. Rohu fish/ Rui mach (500 gm).
2. Plain yogurt (5 tbsp).
3. Mustard seeds paste (5 tbsp).
4. Turmeric powder (1 tsp).
5. Cumin powder (½ tsp).
6. Black cumin seeds (½ tsp).
7. Salt (as per your taste).
8. Sugar (as per your taste).
9. Slitted green chilli (4 no).
10. Mustard oil.

Methods of How to Cook Rui Fish With Dahi Shorshe:
1. Marinate the Rui fish with ½ tsp salt and ½ tsp turmeric powder. Keep it for 5 min.
2. Take a bowl. Add 5 tbsp mustard sees paste, 5 tbsp yogurt, ½ tsp cumin powder, ½ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp salt and ½ tsp sugar. Mixed it well. It will be used in gravy.
3. Heat the pan and add mustard oil in it. Fry the Rui Mach gently.
4. Add 4 tbsp mustard oil for gravy.
5. Add ½ tsp black cumin seeds. Fry for 10 sec.
6. Add mustard seeds paste mixture. Cook in medium flame for 30 sec.
7. Add 1 cup water. When boiling add fried fishes.
8. Cover the lid for 5 min in medium flame.
9. Turn over the fishes and cover it again for 5 min in medium flame.
10. Taste it. Add more salt and sugar as per your taste.
11. Now cook in high flame for 2 min.
12. Put off gas oven. Your recipe is ready.
13. Serve hot Doi Sorshe Rui with hot steamed rice.
