Mutton Curry – Bengali Special Delicious Mouthwatering Khashir Mangsher Jhol

Ingredients of Mutton Curry / Khashir Mangsho recipe:
1. Mutton / Kashir Mangsho / Pathar Mangsho (500 gm).
2. Potatoes (4 medium sizes).
3. Chopped onion (3 big sizes).
4. Sliced Tomato (1 big size).
5. Ginger paste (1 tbsp).
6. Garlic paste (1 tbsp).
7. Green chilli paste (10 no).
8. Cumin seeds (¼ tsp).
9. 2 Bay leaves.
10. Turmeric powder (1 tsp).
11. Cumin powder (½ tsp).
12. Coriander powder (½ tsp).
13. Kashmiri Red chilli powder (½ tsp).
14. Garam masala powder (1tsp).
15. Garam masala.
16. Sugar (as per your taste).
17. Salt (as per your taste).
18. Mustard oil (5 tbsp)
19. Black pepper powder (¼ tsp).
Methods of How to Cook Mutton Curry:
1. Heat the pan and pour mustard oil. Fry the potato pcs very well. Keep aside.
2. Add 5 tbsp mustard oil in hot pan.
3. Add garam masala, ¼ tsp cumin seeds, and 2 bay leaves. Fry for 10 – 15 sec.
4. Add chopped onion and fry (in medium flame) till become golden brown.
5. Add sliced tomato and fry for 1 min in medium flame.
6. Add 2 tbsp garlic paste and fry for30 sec in medium flame.
7. Add 1 tbsp ginger paste, and green chilli paste. Mixed it well. Cook 1 min in medium flame.
8. Add ½ tsp cumin powder, ½ tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp of turmeric powder, and ½ tsp kashmiri red chilli powder. Add ½ tsp salt, and 1 tsp sugar. Mixed it well. Add 3 tbsp water. Cook for 3 to 5 min in medium flame.
9. Add mutton pcs. Cook for 5 min in high flame.
10. Add fried potatoes. Mixed it well. Add ¼ tsp of garam masala powder. Cook for 2 or 3 min in high flame.
11. Add hot boiled water.
12. Now use a pressure cooker. Give 6 whistles.
13. After 6 whistles open the lid. Now cook in high flame.
14. Taste the sugar and salt. Add more as per your taste. Now cook in high flame.
15. After 2 min add ½ tsp garam masala powder and ¼ tsp of black pepper powder. Mixed it well. Now cook in high flame for 5 min more.
16. Put off the gas oven and close the lid for 5 min.
17. After 5 min serve hot Spicy Mutton Curry with steamed rice, roti, paratha etc.
