Mocha Chingri – Popular Traditional Bengali Recipe Chingri Mach Diye Mochar Ghonto

Ingredients of Mocha Chingri Recipe:
1. Banana Flower/ Banana Blossom / Mocha (1 pc) fine chopped.
2. Prawn/Chingri mach (150 gms).
3. Potatoes (1 medium size).
4. Sliced tomato (1 small size).
5. Cumin seed (¼ tsp).
6. 2 Bay leaves
7. 1 dry chilli
8. Ginger paste (2 tsp).
9. Cumin powder (¼ tsp).
10. Red chilli powder (¼ tsp).
11. Turmeric powder (½ tsp).
12. Garam masala powder (¼ tsp).
13. Salt (as per your taste).
14. Sugar (as per your taste).
15. Mustard oil (6-8 tbsp).

Methods of How to Cook Mochar Ghonto Chingri Mach Diye:
1. Deep the fine chopped banana blossoms in salted water for 30 min.
2. After that boiled this.
3. Drained out all the water and wash for two or three time.
4. Marinate the prawns with little bit of salt and turmeric powder. Keep t for 5 min.
5. Now add mustard oil in hot pan.
6. Fried the potato pcs very well.
7. Fried the prawns very well.
8. Add 4 tbsp oil in hot pan.
9. Add ¼ tsp cumin seeds, 2 small bay leaves, and 1 dry chilli. Fry for 15 sec in medium flame.
10. Add sliced tomato. Fry for 1 min in medium flame.
11. Add 2 tsp ginger paste. Fry for 30 sec in medium flame.
12. Add ¼ tsp cumin powder, ¼ tsp red chilli powder, and ½ tsp turmeric powder. Mixed it well.
13. Add ¼ tsp salt and 1 tsp sugar. Mixed it well.
14. Add 2 tbsp water. Now cook in high flame for 1 min.
15. Now add fried potatoes and fried prawns. Cook in medium flame for 2 min.
16. Add boiled banana blossoms and cook in medium flame for 5 min.
17. Add 1 cup water and close the lid for 15 min. Cook in medium flame.
18. After 15 min taste the salt sugar. Add more as per your taste.
19. Now cook in high flame for 5 min.
20. Add ¼ tsp garam masala powder. Mixed it well. Close the lid for 5 min.
21. After 5 min, Mochar Ghonto recipe is ready.
22. Serve hot Mocha Chingri with hot steamed rice.
