Ingredients of Macher Matha Diye Bandhakopi Recipe:

1. Potatoes (2 medium sizes, cut into small cubes).
2. Fine chopped cabbage (500 gms).
3. 1 Rohu fish head.
4. Chopped Onion (2 medium size).
5. Sliced Tomato (1 medium size).
6. Ginger paste (3 tsp).
7. Slitted green chilli (5 no).
8. Green peas (½ cup).
9. Turmeric powder (1 tsp).
10. Cumin powder (½ tsp).
11. Red chilli powder (½ tsp).
12. Garam masala powder (¼ tsp).
13. Cumin seed (¼ tsp).
14. Dried chilli (2 no’s).
15. 1 Bay leaf.
16. Sugar (as per your taste).
17. Salt (as per your taste).
18. Mustard oil (7 to 8 tbsp)
Methods of How to Cook Macher Mathar bandhakopi Curry:
1. Marinate the fish head with ¼ tsp of turmeric powder and ¼ tsp of salt. Keep it for 5 min.
2. Boil the cabbage with ¼ tsp salt. Then strain the all extra water.
3. Heat the pan and pour mustard oil. Fry the fish head very well. Keep aside.
4. Fry the potato pcs very well. Keep aside.
5. Add 4 tbsp mustard oil in hot pan.
6. Add ¼ tsp cumin seeds, 1 bay leaf, and 2 dried red chilli. Fry for 15 sec.
7. Add chopped onion and fry (in medium flame) till become golden brown.
8. Add sliced tomato, ½ cup green peas and slitted green chilli. Fry for 1 min in medium flame.
9. Add 3 tsp ginger paste. Mixed it well. Cook 30 sec in medium flame.
10. Add 1 tsp of turmeric powder, ½ tsp cumin powder, ½ tsp red chilli powder r. Add 2 tbsp water. Cook for 2 min in medium flame.
11. Add ½ tsp salt, and 1 tsp sugar. Mixed it well. Cook for 2 min in medium flame.
12. Add fried potatoes and fried fish head. Mixed it well. Cook for 2 min in medium flame.
13. Add boiled cabbage. Mixed it well. Cook for 2 min in high flame.
14. Add 1 cups of water. When boiling close the lid and cook for 15 min in medium flame.
15. After 15 min taste the sugar and salt. Add more as per your taste. Now cook in high flame for 8 to 10 min.
16. Finally add ¼ tsp garam masala powder. Mixed it well.
17. Put off the gas oven and close the lid for 5 min.
18. After 5 min serve hot with steamed rice, roti, paratha etc.
