Ingredients of Koi Macher Haro Gouri / Ganga Jamuna Recipe:
1. Koi mach /Climbing perch (4 pc).
2. Mustard seeds paste (2 tsp).
3. Tamarind paste (½ cup).
4. Turmeric powder (1 tsp).
5. Cumin powder (½ tsp).
6. Red chilli powder (1 tsp).
7. Salt (as per your taste).
8. Sugar (as per your taste).
9. Green chilli (4 pc).
10. Mustard seeds (¼ tsp).
11. 2 dry red chilli.
12. Mustard oil.
Preparation of Koi Macher Ganga Jamuna Recipe:
1. Marinate the fish with ¼ tsp salt and ¼ tsp turmeric powder. Keep it for 10 min.
2. Add 4 tbsp mustard oil in hot pan.
3. Fry the fishes very well.
4. Now keep 3 tbsp oil in pan.
5. Add mustard seeds paste, ½ tsp cumin powder, ½ tsp red chilli powder, green chilli ¼ tsp turmeric powder and ¼ tsp salt. Mix it well.
6. Add ½ cup water. When boiling add fried fishes. Remember that only one side of fish should be deep in gravy.
7. Close the lid for 5 min in medium flame.
8. After 5 min put off the oven. Remove the fishes very carefully from gravy.
9. Heat another fresh pan and add 3 tbsp oil in it.
10. Add 2 dry red chilli and ¼ tsp mustard seeds. Fry it for 15 sec.
11. Add tamarind paste, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, ¼ tsp red chilli powder, ¼ tsp salt and 1tsp sugar. Mixed it well.
12. Add ½ cup water. When boiling add fishes carefully. Keep the fresh side of fishes in bottom.
13. Close the lid for 5 min. After 5 min put of the gas oven.
14. Serve hot Koi Macher HaraGouri / Ganga Jamuna with hot steamed rice.
