Ingredients of Jeera Ilish:
1. Ilish mach/ Hilsa fish (4 pc).
2. Turmeric powder (½ tsp).
3. Cumin seeds (1 tsp).
4. Green chilli (2 or 3).
5. Dry red chilli (2 no).
6. Salt (as per your taste).
7. Mustard oil (2 tbsp).
How to cook Jeera Ilish:
1. Roast the dry red chilli, cumin seeds, and green chilli in dry pan.
2. Then make smooth paste of these roasted spices.
3. Now marinate the fishes with ½ tsp turmeric powder, salt, 2 pinches of sugar, masala paste, and 1 tbsp of mustard oil. Mix all the ingredients very well.
4. Keep it for 15 min.
5. Then heat the pan and add 1 tbsp oil in it.
6. Add fishes with all masala.
7. Add 1 cup water. When boiling cover it for 5 min in medium flame.
8. After 5 min turn over the fishes and cover it again and cook in medium flame for 5 min.
9. Jeere Ilish recipe is ready. Put off gas oven.
10. Serve hot Jeera Ilish with hot steamed rice.
