It is also known as Ghugni Chat. So just learn and make this Chatpata Ghugni Chat at home.
Before all, Yellow Peas Soaked for 4 to 5 hours.
Preparation Time for Ghugni Recipe: 10 minutes
Cooking Time for Ghugni: 20 minutes
Ingredients of Ghugni Making:
1. Yellow Peas (200 gm) Soaked for 4 to 5 hours
2. Chopped onion (2 medium size)
3. Sliced tomato (1 medium size)
4. Potato (1 big size cut into small cube pcs)
5. Ginger paste (2 tsp )
6. Gerlic paste (1.5 tsp )
7. Turmeric powder (1tsp)
8. Cumin powder (1 tsp)
9. Coriander powder (1/2 tsp)
10. Garam masala
11. Garam masala powder
12. Cumin seed ½ tsp
13. Bay leaf
14. Dried chilli
15. Red chilli powder (1/2 tsp)
16. Green chilli paste (4 nos)
17. Sugar
18. Salt
19. Refined oil
Method of How to cook Ghugni at home:
1. First boil the peas in pressure cooker. Use 2 whistle sounds. You can use extra whistle if you need).
2. Heat the pan and add 3 tbsp of refined oil. Fry the potatoes very well. Add some turmeric powder when fry.
3. Add garam masala, ½ tsp cumin seed, 1 bay leaf and 1 dried chilli. Cook for 20 to 30 sec.
4. Add chopped onion and fry till brown.
5. Add sliced tomato and cook for 1 min.
6. Add 2 tsp ginger paste, 1.5 tsp garlic paste, green chilli paste, 1 tsp cumin powder, ½ tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp red chilli powder. Add some water for prevent stickiness.
7. Add fried potatoes, 1 tsp salt, ½ tsp sugar and mixed it well.
8. Add ½ tsp garam masala powder.
9. Add boiled yellow peas and mixed it well then close the lid for 1 min.
10. Add peas boiled water and close the lid again for 5 min. Cook in low flame.
11. After 5 min check the salt sugar. Then cook 3 to 5 min in high flame.
12. Finally spread ½ tsp garam masala powder. Put off gas oven and close the lid for 5 min.
13. Serve hot with chopped coriander leaves, chopped onion, lemon juice, bhujia and roasted mix masala of cumin seeds, coriander seeds and dried chilli.
