Chichingar Chechki – Popular Bengali Veg Recipe – Easy Niramish Recipe

Here is another Easy Bengali Veg Recipe Chichingar Chechki. It is pure Bengali niramish recipe. So let’s learn how to make Chichingar Chechki and make it at home.

Ingredients of Chichingar Chechki:
1. Chichinga / Snake gourd (500gm)
2. Grated coconut (1 cup).
3. Turmeric powder (½ tsp).
4. Black cumin seeds (¼ tsp).
5. 1 Dry red chilli
6. Slitted green chillis (4 no).
7. 1 Bay leaf
8. Mustard oil (3 tbsp).
9. Salt (as per taste).
10. Sugar (as per taste).

Methods of How to cook Chechki of Chichinga:
1. Heat the pan and add 3 tbsp of mustard oil in it.
2. Add ¼ tsp black cumin seeds, 1 bay leaf, and 1 dry red chilli. Fry it for 10 sec.
3. Add sliced snake gourd.
4. Add ½ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp salt, 1 tsp sugar, and slitted green chillis. Mixed it well.
5. Now close the lid for 5 min in medium flame.
6. After 5 min open the lid and stir it. Close the lid again for 5 min in high flame.
7. After this open the lid and cook in high flame for 2 min.
8. Add 1 cup grated coconut and mixed it well.
9. Taste it. Add more salt and sugar as per your taste.
10. Now cook in high flame for 2 to 3 min more.
11. Your niramish chechki recipe is ready. Serve hot Chichingar Chechki with hot steamed rice, roti, paratha, etc.
