Most of the food here are made keeping the Indian Palette in consideration to keep the recipe as authentic as possible, although these foods may be what any South Asian may relish. It’s important to keep in mind the spices used must be taken into account by the viewer and cook according to their threshold, preference and health conditions.

With that out of the way, today we will see how to prepare
Sweet Corn Poha/Flattened Rice/Avalakki
Ingredients:
Flattened rice : 2 ½ cups
Sweet Corn : 1cup
Oil : 2 tsp
Mustard : ½ tsp
Bengal gram dal : 1 tsp
Urud dal :1 tsp
Turmeric : ½ tsp
Curry leaves : few
Green chilies : 2
Coriander leaves : handful
Salt to taste
Lemon juice : 1 tsp

Procedure:
Wash Poha and soak for 10 mins. In the meantime, add sweet corn to a vessel and add 2 cups of water and cook sweet corn till its softly cooked. Take a kadai add oil and let the oil get heated up, now add mustard seeds, bengal gram and urud dal, turmeric and sauté for a while. Now add green chilies, curry leaves and coriander leaves and sauté for a while. Now add the cooked sweet corn along with the water and add another cup of water and bring it to a boil. Add salt and mix well and now add the poha and mix well. close with the lid and simmer for 5 mins. Put off the stove and add lemon juice and mix well. Serve it hot.
