It’s important to keep in mind the spices used must be taken into account by the viewer and cook according to their threshold, preference and health conditions.

With that out of the way, today we will see how to prepare
Onion gojju chitranna =================================================================================
Ingredients:
Onions : 4 ( medium size)
Oil :2tbsp
Mustard:1/2 tsp
Bengal gram dal : 1 tsp
Black gram dal:1 tsp
Tamarind: a small lemon size
Curry leaves:10-15
Green chillies :4
Turmeric:1/2 tsp
Asafetida: less than 1/4 tsp
Sambar powder : 2tsp( https://youtu.be/rqbc-Mzq6oo )
Salt to tase
Cooked rice

Procedure:
Finely cut onions and keep aside. Extract tamarind juice and keep aside. Take a thick bottom vessel add oil and heat it up.
Now add mustard and allow it to crackle. Add bengal gram dal and black gram dal and saute till the dals turn color to golden brown. Now add asafetida, turmeric, curry leaves and green chillies and saute well.
Now add onions and saute till the onions turn transparent. Add extracted tamarind juice and cook till the raw smell of the tamarind is gone. Now add salt and sambar powder and mix well. Close the lid and simmer for 5 mins till the raw smell of the sambar powder is gone. Onion gojju is ready. Mix with hot rice and serve it hot.
