Most of the food here are made keeping the Indian Palette in consideration to keep the recipe as authentic as possible, although these food may be what any SouthAsian may relish .It’s important to keep in mind the spices used must be taken into account by the viewer and cook according to there threshold, preference and health conditions.
With that out of the way, today we will see how to prepare
Beans and Carrot Curry / Palya
Ingredients:
Oil : 2 tbsp
Mustard : 1/2 tsp
Bengal gram dal :1 tsp
Urud dal(black gram) :1 tsp
Turmeric : 1/2 tsp
green chiles :4
Beans : 1/2 kg
Carrot :1/4 kg
water : 150 ml
salt to taste
Fresh coconut grated : 1 cup
Coriander Leaves : 1 cup
Procedure:
Take a kadai and add oil and allow the oil to get heated.Once oil is heated add mustard,bengal gram dal,black gram dal and turmeric and saute for a while till the dals turn the colour.Now add green chilies , beans,carrot and mix well.Add water and cook for about 10 mins in medium flame.Check if the vegetables are cooked.
if not cooked add some more and cook till the vegetables are cooked soft.Now add coriander leaves,fresh coconut and salt and mix well.close the lid and simmer for 5 mins and serve it hot.
