Most of the food here are made keeping the Indian Palette in consideration to keep the recipe as authentic as possible, although these food may be what any SouthAsian may relish .It’s important to keep in mind the spices used must be taken into account by the viewer and cook according to there threshold, preference and health conditions.
With that out of the way, today we will see how to prepare
Bitter Gourd Gojju
Ingredients:
Bitter Gourd : 400 gms
Gojju Powder : 4 tbsp https://youtu.be/oSmMG17BJHY
Tamarind : a lemon size
Urud dal(black gram dal) : 1 tsp
Bengal gram dal : 1 tsp
Mustard :1/2 tsp
Oil : 2 tsp
Jaggery Powder : 3 tsp
Salt to taste
curry leaves : 10 -15
Green chilies : 2
Procedure:
Take bowl add water,turmeric and salt.To this add the cut bitter gourd and leave it for 30 mins.This will remove the bitterness in the bitter gourd.
Now sqeeze out the water and tranfer to a plate.Take a kadai,add oil,mustard,chana dal,urud dal,curry leaves and green chilies and saute for a while.
Now add the biiter gourd and tamarind water and cook it till it becomes soft.Add salt,gojju powder and mix well and add jaggery powder and
cook it well and serve it hot.
