പരമ്പരാഗത മാമ്പള പുള്ളിശ്ശേരി ചന്ദ്രക്കാരൻ മാമ്പഴം ആണ് ഉപയോഗിക്കേണ്ടത്.
ഉള്ളി വെളുത്തുള്ളി ഉപയോഗിക്കില്ല.
ഇങ്ങനെ മാമ്പഴ പുളിശ്ശേരിയുടെ ഗുണം കളഞ്ഞു.

വാപ്പായ്ക്ക് സുഖമായോ? ഈ മാമ്പഴ പുളിശ്ശേരി വളരെ രുചികരമാണ്. മറ്റൊരു പ്രത്യേകത ഞങ്ങളുടെ ചെറുപ്പകാലത്ത് ഞങ്ങളുടെ തറവാട്ടുവീട്ടിൽ ആ നാട്ടിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയൊരു നാട്ടുമാവ് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.അമ്മയുടെ അച്ഛന്റെ ഇഷ്ടവിഭവം പഴുത്ത് കൊഴിയുന്ന മാങ്ങ ഈ ഒരു പുളിശ്ശേരി, ഒരു സത്യം പറയട്ടെ, എല്ലാ വിഭവങ്ങളും നാടൻ രുചി ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്ന എന്നെ സംബന്ധിച്ചിടത്തോളം പാകം ചെയ്തു വിളമ്പിയതു കാണുമ്പോൾ തന്നെ അത്യധികം സന്തോഷമാണ് .നമ്മുടെ പഴമയും, പാരമ്പര്യങ്ങളും നിലനിർത്തുവാനും ,തലമുറയ്ക്ക് കൈമാറുവാനുമുള്ള ഈ ഒരു കാൽവയ്പ് അഭിനന്ദനീയം തന്നെ
