Pista Tasty Drink || Kid's Special Drink || Ep#590 || Salu Kitchen

Flavoured milk is an all-time favourite for most kids. Salu Kitchen dedicates this recipe particularly for kids. This flavoured milk is chunky with nuts. The pistachio variant is being made today. Those with nut-allergies and lactose intolerance kindly avoid.

കുട്ടികുറുമ്പുകാർക്ക് ഒരു tasty ഡ്രിങ്ക് || Kid’s Special Drink || Ep#590 || Salu Kitchen

1. ½ litre full fat milk (chilled)
2. 2 tbsp pistachios
3. 6 badam, 5 cashew nuts (optional)
4. a pinch of saffron
5. 1½ tbsp cornflour
6. take the cornflour in a bowl, mix with some milk and stir well
7. mix without lumps and keep aside
8. crush the pistachios to coarse powder
9. crush 6-7 cardamoms with the cashew nuts and almonds
10. remove the skin of cardamom before grinding
11. put the milk to boil in a hot pan
12. add 4 tbsp sugar and a pinch of saffron
13. when the milk boils, reduce the flame to low
14. to this pour the cornflour
15. mix in parts and stir well
16. add the crushed nuts
17. when the milk becomes thick and creamy, add 1 drop of permitted green food colour (optional, not advised)
18. turn off the flame and allow it to cool to room temperature
19. when it has cooled to room temperature, stir well and bottle the milk
20. refrigerate the bottles until well chilled
21. serve chilled

This is a simple yet delicious recipe that can be prepared even by beginners.
