How To Make Easy Dragon Chicken || Sweet, Spicy and Crunchy || Ep#598 || Salu Kitchen Vlog

Dragon chicken is a sweet, spicy and crunchy dish, a variant from Salu Kitchen. This dish can be considered as a cousin of chilli chicken, but contains some additional ingredients and a wee bit spicier.

1. 2 kg chicken cut into small pieces
2. add 6 tbsp all-purpose flour to a bowl
3. 3 tbsp cornflour
4. salt as required
5. 1 tsp black pepper powder
6. ½ tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
7. 2 tbsp red chilli paste
8. 1 tbsp soya sauce
9. 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
10. 1 egg
11. mix well
12. add the chicken and coat well
13. keep aside and marinate for 15 minutes
14. heat oil as required to fry the chicken
15. to the hot oil, add the chicken piece by piece and fry on high flame
16. flip to cook evenly
17. drain from oil when well fried
18. heat 4 tbsp oil used to fry the chicken, in another pan
19. add 8-10 garlic cloves
20. slit and add 3 green chillies
21. handful of cashew nuts
22. 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
23. add 3 sliced onions
24. continue to saute in high flame
25. add 1 sliced capsicum
26. add salt as required (soya sauce would be added, so adjust accordingly)
27. 3 tbsp tomato ketchup
28. 1 tbsp soya sauce
29. 1 tsp sugar
30. 1 tsp dried red chilli flakes
31. mix well
32. a pinch of food colour (optional, not preferred)
33. 1 tsp ketchup is added; (as i felt that it required a bit more)
34. add the fried chicken and mix well
35. turn off the flame add chopped spring onion; due to unavailability, i am adding coriander leaves :p
This is a simple yet delicious recipe that can be prepared even by beginners.
