Naadan authentic payar (green gram) curry made without losing the original green colour. Most other recipes result in the loss of colour. Here this healthy dish is made by retaining the colour and nutritional values. This dish is perfect for breakfast, lunch and dinner and goes will with rice, roti or chappathi.
Ingredients:
Green gram – 1 cup
Garlic – 3 cloves
green chilly – 2
Cumin seed – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
To make masala
Shredded coconut – 1 cup
Green chilly – 1
Shallots- 5
Cumin seed – 1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
To garnish
Coconut oil
Mustard seeds
Curry leaves
Dried red chilli
a pinch of turmeric powder
