Sago Banana Rice Ball Payasam
Ingredients:
MAGGI Coconut Milk Powder : 100g
Sago : ½ cups
Water : 2 ½ cup
Roasted Rice Flour: 6 tbsp
Ghee : 2 tbsp
Ripe bananas : 3 nos
Cashew nuts (Whole) :2 tbsp
Raisins : 2 tbsp
Sugar : ½ cup
Cardamom powder : 1 tsp
Salt As required
Method of Preparation
1. Cook ½ cup sago in excess water and drain it.
2. Boil ½ cup of water with some salt in a pan,switch off the flame. Take the roasted rice flour in a large mixing bowl and slowly add the boiling salted water to form a smooth dough.
3. Knead well and make into small (½ inch dia) balls and set aside.
4. Prepare coconut milk by combining Maggi Coconut Milk Powder and 5 cups (150 ml) of lukewarm water. Peel the skin of ripe bananas and cut into ½ inch cubes.
5. Heat a large thick bottom pan, pour 2 tbsp of ghee and add the ripe bananas and sauté until it becomes soft.
6. Add sugar, sago and rice balls, mix slowly.
7.Then add the prepared Maggi Coconut milk to the mixture and mix well.
Bring to boil, make sure rice balls are cooked.
8. Add the cardamom powder and stir well. Finally add roasted cashew nuts and raisins into it & serve hot
