Learn how to make Maharashtrian style Sukat Kalvan – dry prawn curry recipe from our chef Archana on Ruchkar Mejwani. This curry goes very well with rice, bhakri or chapati.
Ingredients:
2 tbsp Oil
1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
1/2 tsp Turmeric
1 Onion, chopped
1 Potato, chopped
1 Cup Sukat, soaked
1 tbsp Mix Masala
1 Cup Coconut Milk
1 tsp Tamarind Pulp
Salt to taste
Coriander Leaves
Water
Method:
– Firstly, soak the dried Prawns in some water for 30 minutes.
– In a pan heat some oil.
– Add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, onion, coriander leaves & potato. Saute everything well.
– Then add soaked prawn, mix masala, salt & water. Mix well.
– Cover it with a lid and let everything cook for 15 minutes.
– Add coconut milk & tamarind pulp. Mix everything well.
– Cover it again and let everything simmer for 5 minutes.
– Sukat Kalvan is ready to be served.
