Ingredients:
1 Cup Grated Coconut
3 tbsp Oil
1 tbsp Urad Dal
2 tbsp Chana
1/2 tsp Tamarind Paste
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
1/4th tsp Asafoetida
2 Dry Red Chillies
15-20 Curry Leaves
3-4 Fenugreek Seeds
Salt to taste
Water
Method:
– In a small vessel heat some oil.
– Add urad dal and roast it for a minute. Keep it aside.
– In a mixer grinder add grated coconut, roasted urad dal, chana, tamarind paste & water. Grind everything to a smooth paste.
– Add little water and grind again.
– For the tadka, in a small vessel add oil, mustard seeds, asafoetida, dry red chillies, curry leaves & fenugreek seeds. Roast everything for a minute.
– Add the tadka to the chutney.
– Also add salt and mix everything well.
– Coconut Chutney is ready.
