Narali pournima is a ceremonial day observed by Hindu fishing communities in western India particularly around Mumbai and the Konkan coast and we are celebrating it by preparing Naralachi Kheer.

Ingredients:
(Serves 6)
– 1 cup Coconut(Grated)
– 4-5 tbsp Sugar
– 1/4 Cashew & Raisins
– 1/2 ltr Milk
– 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
Method:
1. Keep the pan on gas with a low flame and add grated coconut, sugar, cashew, and raisins to it.
2. Saute the mixture for some time, until the sugar melts
3. Add milk to the mixture and keep stirring
4. Now, put 1/2tsp cardamom powder and let it boil well for around 10-15 minutes
5. Once the Coconut kheer is cooked(not very thick), turn down the flame and take it out in a serving bowl
6. Garnish it with chopped almonds, pistachios and pinch of cardamom
