Crispy from outside, sweet from inside, Kakara Pitha is considered as a festive food which is also prepared as a Temple food, an offering (Prasad) to the Lord Jagannathan of Puri Temple in Orissa.

Semolina is an excellent source of iron. It contains a sufficient amount of iron which is needed for your body. Consuming a diet contain sooji is full of iron will increase blood circulation, produce more fuel for your day-to-day functioning.

आहारात रव्याचा वापर केल्याने शरीरात रक्तप्रवाह सुरळीत कार्य करण्यास मदत होते. यामुळे हृदयविकाराच्या झटक्याचा धोका टळतो. रव्यात आयर्नची भरपूर मात्रा आढळल्यामुळे हे शरीरात रक्ताची कमी पूर्ण होते.

1 cup Semolina
1 cup Water
1 cup Milk
2 tbsp Sugar
Salt (as per taste)
1 tbsp Oil
2 cups Fresh Coconut (grated)
1 tbsp Poppy Seeds
½ cup Jaggery
½ cup Sugar
2 tbsp Cashew Nuts & Raisin (chopped)
½ tsp Green Cardamom Powder
Nutmeg (grated)
Almonds & Pistachios (sliced)
Oil (for greasing)
Oil (for frying)
