Sabudana Khichdi Recipe | Sago Khichdi | Sabudane Ki Khichdi | Navratri Vrat Special Recipes

Ingredients –

1. Soaked Sabudana (Sago) – 2 Cup (soak 1 cup of Sabudana Overnight)
2. Peanuts (Mungfali) – ¼ Cup
3. Vrat Salt – 1 ½ tsp
4. Sugar – 1 tsp
5. Red Chilli Powder – 1 ¼ tsp
6. Lemon Juice – 2 tsp
7. Clarified Butter (Ghee) – 1 tbsp + 1 tsp
8. Cumin Seeds (Jeera) – 1 tsp
9. Chopped Green Chillies – 2 small

Method –

1. In a mixing bowl, take 2 cups of soaked Sabudana (soaked overnight).
2. Then add 1 ½ tsp of Vrat Salt, 1 tsp of Sugar, 1 ¼ tsp of Red Chilli Powder. 2 tsp of Lemon Juice and mix well.
3. In cooking pan, take 1 tbsp of Clarified Butter (Ghee) and heat nicely.
4. Add ¼ cup of Peanuts (Mungfali) into the pan and roast nicely for 2 minutes until golden.
5. Take ¾ cup of Peanuts into mixer grinder and keep some Peanuts in the pan itself only.
6. Grind the Peanuts into coarse powder and keep aside.
7. In the same pan, add more 1 tsp of Clarified Butter (Ghee), 1 tsp of Cumin Seeds (Jeera), 2 small Green Chillies roughly chopped and add mixed Sabudana mixture into the pan.
8. Stir well on medium flame until you get to see Sabudana some what shiny. This takes 4 to 5 minutes only.
9. Sabudana Khichdi is ready to serve hot with Yogurt.
