Ingredients –
1. Whole Wheat Flour (Atta) – 2 Cup
2. Gram Flour (Besan) – ¼ Cup
3. Fenugreek Leaves (Methi) – 250 Gm (washed and roughly chopped)
4. Finely Chopped Green Chillies – 2 tsp
5. Grated Garlic – 2 tsp (optional)
6. Oil – 1 tbsp
7. Carom Seeds (Ajwain) – ¼ tsp
8. Sesame Seeds (Til) -1 tsp
9. Asafoetida (Hing) – ¼ tsp
10. Salt to Taste – 1 tsp
11. Turmeric Powder (Haldi) – ½ tsp
12. Red Chilli Powder – ½ tsp
13. Curd (Dahi) – 1 tbsp
14. Water – as requird for kneading
15. Oil – as required for roasting
Method –
1. In a mixing bowl, take 2 cup of Whole Wheat Flour (Atta), ¼ cup of Gram Flour (Besan), 250 gm of washed and roughly chopped of Fenugreek Leaves (Methi) in the bowl.
2. Then add 2 tsp of finely chopped Green Chillies, ¼ tsp of Carom Seeds (Ajawin), 2 tsp of grated Garlic, 1 tbsp of Oil, 1 tsp of Sesame Seeds (Til), ¼ tsp of Asafoerida (Hing), ½ tsp of Turmeric Powder (Haldi), ½ tsp of Red Chilli Powder, 1 tbsp of Curd (Dahi) and mix well.
3. Now keep on adding Water as required to knead the soft dough and allow the dough to rest for 10 mins.
4. After 10 mins, take small portion of the dough and with the help of dry flour roll 3 to 4-inch round Puri.
5. Apply 1 tsp of Oil and fold it again and make small round ball.
6. Start rolling again into 4 to 5-inch round Thepla and put on preheated hot tawa for roasting.
7. Roast form one side for 1 min or until you see the bubbles and then flip over and apply 1 tsp of Oil and roast until golden.
8. Similarly roast from other side of Thepla also and serve with Curd or Chutney.
