Ingredients –
1. Rice – 1 ½ Cup (ratio of Rice: Dal – 3: 1)
2. Urad Dal (Split Urad Dal) – ½ Cup (ratio of Rice: Dal – 3: 1)
3. Chana Dal – ¼ Cup
4. Rice Flakes (Poha) – ¼ Cup
5. Fenugreek Seeds (Dana Methi) – 1 tsp
6. Salt as per Taste
Method –
1. Take ½ cup of split Urad Dal, ¼ Cup of Chana Dal and wash 2 to 3 times with Water.
2. After washing the Dal, drain off completely and soak the Dal in Water for 4 hours.
3. In another bowl, take 1 ½ cup of Rice, 1 tsp of Fenugreek Seeds (Methi Dana) and wash it for 2 to 3 times with Water and then drain off the Water completely.
4. Similarly, soak the Rice also in Water for 4 hours.
5. After 4 hours, firstly take the soaked Rice, then drain off the extra Water and transfer to mixer grinder.
6. Add ¼ cup of Rice Flakes (Poha) and ¼ cup of Water and blend into smooth paste.
7. Similarly, take the soaked Dals, drain off and transfer to the mixer grinder.
8. Add ¼ cup of Water and blend into smooth paste.
9. Transfer both the paste (dal and rice paste) in big vessel or bowl, and give a nice mix.
10. Cover the lid and keep the batter in warm place for fermentation for at least 10 hours or overnight.
11. Once the Batter is fermented well, give a nice mix and take small amount add Salt and Water as per requirement and give a nice dosa batter consistency.
12. Pour ladleful batter on hot Dosa Tawa, spread gently into big round Dosa and roast until golden and crispy by sprinkling 1 tsp of Oil.
13. To give a cap shape to Dosa, cut into half and turn round as you can see in the video.
14. Crispy and Crunchy Dosa is ready to serve with Aloo Ki Sabzi and Sambar.
Note –
If weather conditions are too cold, you can blend the batter using Curd (Yogurt) to help the batter to ferment well.
