Holige Saaru or Holige Rasam is an authentic curry which is prepared from Dal water that is trained during the preparation of Holige or Hobbattu, Holige saaru or Hobbattu saaru is tastes like almost regular Rasam but bit different, because it is prepared from dal water of more quantity of tur dal, while cooking tur dal we should add bit ot oil or ghee, if we add ghee to tur dal , it also cooks fast and also gives thick dal water or dal ka pani or bele kattu,

My favourite is Holige saaru, that is prepared by my mother, she is 90yrs, I also tried my best to prepared Holige just llike her

The ingredients for Holige saaru or Hobbattu saaru is

Bele kattu or Dal water

ingredient for grinding

1 teaspoongrated coconut
roasted one onion
jeera
1 boiled tomoto
boiled tur dal 1 teaspoon
boiled orna 1 teaspoon
crushed lasun.corriander leaves
salt
1 teaspoon oil
Sambhar powder or saarina pudi or rasam powder
