For Rava Uttapam Batter:
✤ 1 cup semolina (rava suji coarse)
✤ 1/2 cup natural yogurt (curd/dahi)
✤ 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
✤ 1 cup water (or as needed)
✤ 1 teaspoon baking soda or Eno fruit salt (or use 1/2 teaspoon)

For Toppings:
✤ 1 medium-sized onion, finely chopped
✤ 1 large carrot, peeled and grated
✤ 1 large tomato, finely chopped
✤ 2-3 tablespoons coriander (cilantro) leaves, finely chopped
✤ 1-2 green chilies, finely chopped
✤ red chili powder and salt for seasoning

For Cooking:
✤ 1-2 tablespoons oil

  • It's a pizza/pancake Jim but not as we know it.. It's funny Anu durum semolina the main constituent in tipo 00 that makes pasta and pizza would also be something similar to this ie they both come from the same grain.. It always makes me smile when there are connections in food from worlds apart. As always Anu you make the most incredible viewing videos they are star quality, I wish others would do the same, but not only that you make great food. A cook of 40 years and restaurateur feels humbled.. You also make me smile 🙂
