ഉരുളക്കിഴങ്ങ് ബോണ്ട/Potato Bonda /Aloo Bonda

Description :

Ingredients:
Potato – 3 (Boiled and mashed)
Onion – 1 medium (Finely chopped)
Ginger – 1 big piece (Crushed)
Green chilly (Chopped)
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves
Cumin seeds – ½ tbsp

For the batter
Besan / Chickpea flour – 1½ cup
Rice flour – 2 tbsp
Red chilly powder
Asafoetida / Hing
Water
Salt
Oil

Steps:
Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
Add onion, green chilly, ginger and curry leaves and saute well.
When the onion turns soft, add mashed potato, salt and coriander leaves.
Mix well on medium flame.
The masala is ready.

To make the batter for outer cover, combine chickpea flour, rice flour, red chilly powder, asafoetida and salt.
Add water and make a medium thick batter out of it.

Heat oil in a pan.
Pinch small balls out of the masala and dip it in the batter.
Drop it in the oil.
Flip and cook both sides.
Remove and enjoy the hot potato bonda.
