WHITE COCONUT CHUTNEY RECIPE – HOW TO MAKE HOTEL STYLE COCONUT CHUTNEY

Ingredients :
Grated coconut – ½ of a coconut / 4 handfuls
Ginger – 1 big piece (Chopped)
Green chilly – 2
Water as required
Curd – 2 tbsp or as per taste
Salt
Coconut oil
Mustard seed – 1 tbsp
Urad dal – 1 tbsp
Dry red chilly
Green chilly
Shallots – 3
Curry leaves
Steps:
Grind coconut, green chillies and ginger to a fine paste adding some water.
Add curd and salt and pulse for a second.
Check taste and add curd, if needed.
Transfer it to a bowl.
Heat coconut oil in a pan and add mustard seeds.
Splutter mustard seeds.
Add urad dal.
Once it turns golden, add dry chillies, shallots, green chillies and curry leaves.
Switch off and add it to the chutney.
Serve the hotel style coconut chutney with idli or dosa.
