Hi everyone, today I am going to make a two layered pudding without using any cream or any other ingredients that are hardly available..
I am going to make this pudding using easily and readily available ingredients today..
First, on a low flame, melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan and add ¼ cup of sugar and mix well.. in the video, I have set 1 ¼ cup of sugar by mistake.. Add only ¼ cup of sugar and mix well with the butter.
Once the butter is melted, add 200 g of finely chopped/minced carrot and cook the carrot on a very low flame in the butter until its rawness is gone..
Next, add half a teaspoon of cardamom powder for flavour and mix well with the carrot.
Then, cook for around seven minutes or until the carrot turns soft and dry (all the water from the carrot should dry up)..
Once the carrot mixture is cooked and ready, transfer this into the pudding tin, and this will be our first layer of the pudding..
For the second layer, I am going to lay one layer of Oreo biscuits without the cream. I have separated the cream from the biscuits. We’ll use the separated cream for the third layer mix.
To prepare the third layer, in a mixer grinder, beat together two slices of bread, the separated oreo cream and 2 cups of milk into a fine paste.. I am using one slice of bread for one cup of milk.
Heat a saucepan and add 2 tablespoons of butter and ¼ cup of sugar along with the milk and bread mixture.. keep stirring the mixture continuously until it turns thick, on a very low flame..
When it starts to boil and bubble up, keep stirring it continuously and turn off the flame..
Once this mixture is ready, add it onto the layer of biscuits while it’s still hot, so that the biscuits can absorb it well..
After adding the third layer, you can add some crushed Oreos on top of the final layer for garnishing and then transfer it into the refrigerator after it cools down a little..
If you are in a hurry to serve it, you can place it in the freezer to cool and then transfer it into the fridge..
Serve chilled!
