How to make Vettu Cake English translation (in description box)

Description :

Ingredients:
All purpose flour / Maida – 2 cup
Sugar – ¾ cup (Powdered)
Cardamom – 6 (Powdered)
Egg – 2
Baking powder – ½ tsp
Salt – A pinch
Oil – 2-3 drops

Steps:
Mix sugar, cardamom and egg.
Add baking powder and salt mix well.
Add maida in batches and mix well to make a dough.
Add oil and make a dough of roti dough consistency.
Cover and let it rest for an hour.

Grease the rested dough with some oil.
Shape the dough into an elongated log/pipe.
Using a knife, cut the dough into 1″ thick square pieces. You can also cut it into triangles.
Make two deep cuts making a cross on each square piece.

Heat oil in a pan and deep fry over medium heat until golden.
Flip and cook both sides.
Enjoy the vettu cake. It tastes better the next day.
