How to Make Tomato Ketchup

Description :

DescripIngredients:
Tomato – 500g (Chopped)
Garlic – 3 fat cloves
Shallots – 2 big
Kashmiri dry red chillies (deseeded) (Optional)
Vinegar – 1½ tsp
Sugar – 3 tsp
Pepper powder – ¼ tsp
Cloves powder – A pinch
Cinnamon powder – A pinch
Salt

Steps:
Add tomatoes along with garlic, shallots and salt to a heavy bottomed pan.
Turn on the flame.
Cover and cook the tomatoes without adding water.
Once it starts to boil, add deseeded Kashmiri red chilly.
Cover and cook on medium flame till the tomatoes are done.
Switch off and let it cool.
Once cool, grind it into a smooth paste.
Strain the paste mashing it with a spoon.
Transfer it to a clean and dry pan.
Add pepper powder, sugar, vinegar, cloves powder and cinnamon powder to it and mix well.
Turn on the stove. Cook stirring till the mixture thickens.
Switch off.
Store it in an airtight container.
