How To Make Rava Cake

Ingredients
Rava/Semolina – 1 ½ cup.
coarse Semolina – ½ cup.
yogurt – 1 cup.
Butter – ¾ cup.
Sugar – ¾ cup.
Grated coconut – 1 cup.
Eggs beaten – 2nos.
Vanilla essence – 2 tbsp.
Baking powder – 2 tbsp.
For the Sugar Syrup
Sugar – 1 ½ cup
Water – 1 ½ cup
lemon Juice – 1 tbsp.
Rose water – 1 tbsp.
To Garnish
Almonds – as needed.
Method
Melt butter in a pan. Keep aside.
In a mixing bowl mix together semolina, sugar, yogurt, eggs, butter and grated coconut. Add baking powder and vanilla essence. Mix well.
Pre heat the oven to 380F. Grease a baking dish. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Place the batter in refrigerator for 1 hour. Cut in to desired shapes. Place almonds in the center of each piece. Bake for about 40 minutes.
Combine sugar and water in a pan and bring to a boil. Turn heat to medium, add lemon juice, simmer for about 10 minutes. Let it cool, and add rose water.
Remove the cake from oven. Pour sugar syrup over the cake and place the cake back in the oven. Bake for another 15 minutes and remove from oven.
Let it cool,Serve and Enjoy!!!
