Chicken Thoran–Kozhi Thoran

Description :

Ingredients
Chicken – 1 kgms(clean and cut into medium pieces)
Coconut grated – ½ of a coconut.
Ginger crushed – 1 large.
Shallots – 10 nos.
Garlic – 15 nos.
Dried chilli – as needed.
Green chilli – as needed.
Coriander powder – 2 tbsp.
Turmeric powder – ½ tbsp.
Fenugreek seeds powdered – 2 pinch.
Black pepper powder – ½ tbsp.
Garam masala – ¾ tbsp.
Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp.
Curry leaves – as needed.
Lemon juice – ½ of a lemon.

Method

Grind grated coconut, shallots, ginger, garlic, dried chilli and green chilli without adding water.

Marinate chicken with coriander powder, turmeric powder, black pepper powder, ½ tbsp garam masala, fenugreek seeds powdered and coconut mixture. Let it rest for 2 hours.

Heat oil in a pan. Splutter mustard seeds. Add curry leaves. Turn heat to medium and add marinated chicken. Mix well. Cover and cook the chicken.

Open the lid and turn heat to low. Saute the cooked chicken till fried. Add lemon juice as desired. Add remaining garam masala and mix well.

Move to a serving dish and Enjoy!!!
