Description :

Plain flour – ¾ glass
Powdered sugar – ¾ glass
Cardamom – 3 pods (to be powdered with the sugar)
Salt – ¼ tsp
Baking powder – 1 tsp
Milk – ¼ glass (raw or boiled)
Egg whites – 4
Sunflower oil – ½ glass
Use the same glass or a measuring cup to measure all the ingredients

Hi everyone, today I am here with an easy and delicious sponge cake recipe using egg whites and some other simple ingredients..

First, separate the whites of four eggs and add it to a mixer grinder jar and grind it so that the egg whites fluff up.
To the beaten egg whites, add half a glass of sunflower oil in three batches and beat it in the mixer grinder until the egg and oil mixture turns thick and creamy.
Do not add all the oil at once, add one third of the oil first, blend, add the next portion and blend until the thick cream is former.

Once the egg white and oil have turned thick, white and foamy , add ¾ glass of powdered sugar or as per your taste and blend again..
While powdering my sugar, I have added three pods of cardamom for flavour.. you may also use vanilla essence to flavour the cake.
Once the mixture is ready, set aside.

To prepare the dry ingredients, into a large bowl, sift in ¾ glass of Plain flour, a quarter teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of baking soda along with ¼ glass of milk.
Using a whisk or a fork, combine the milk with the plain flour.

Once the mixture is ready, add the prepared cream from the mixer grinder into the cake batter and give it all a good whisk until the batter comes together in a thick consistency..
If the batter seems too tight/thick, you may add little milk to adjust consistency.

Once the batter is ready, prepare your cake tin by greasing it with some oil on the inside and then dusting it with some plain flour..

I am going to make my cake on the stove top, you can make it in the oven as well.

To bake the cake on the stove top, heat and iron pan and place a wire rack or an elevated base for the cake to sit and bake. Make sure to heat the pan on a medium to low flame.
Once the eye and pain starts to feel hot, please the cake tin and cover it with a lid so that no steam escapes the pan..

Bake the cake on a medium to low flame for around an hour or until the cake is fully cooked from the inside.

Once the cake is ready, immediately remove it from the cake tin so that it doesn’t bake further and burn..

Once the cake cools down, cut and serve!!
