2 മുട്ടയും1ഗ്ലാസ് പരിപ്പും ഉണ്ടകിൽ ഇതുപോലെ ഒന്ന് കറി വെച്ച് നോക്കൂ || MUTTA PARIPPU CURRY

Description :

Sambar dal – 1 cup
Ginger – 1 big piece
Garlic – 6 cloves
Green chilli – as per taste
Tomato – 1 or 2 (as per taste)
Cumin seeds – ¼ tbsp
Onion – 1 small
Eggs – 2
Mustard seeds – as per taste
Turmeric powder – ½ tbsp
Coriander leaves
Curry leaves
Oil
Salt

To prepare the curry, first, wash and clean the dal and keep it aside.

Once the dal has been cleaned, place a pressure cooker on the stove and add 2 cups of water in it.. then, add the wash Dal in a steel vessel and add enough water to the vessel to cover the dal and place the vessel as such in the pressure cooker and cook the dal as you normally would..

Once the dal is cooked, heat some coconut oil in a pan and splutter some mustard seeds in the oil.. next, add a quarter tablespoon of cumin seeds and let it roast in the oil and release its aroma.

Once the cumin has been roasted, add finely chopped onion, ginger, green chilies, garlic and curry leaves and sauté until the colour starts to change..
next, add half a tablespoon of turmeric powder and sauté until it’s raw smell goes away.

Once the turmeric powder has been sautéed well, add finely chopped tomatoes, mix well and then add the cooked dal to it..
After you have added the cooked dal, add enough boiling hot water to the pan for the gravy..

Once the curry starts to boil, add some salt to taste and add some chopped coriander leaves for flavour..
if you do not have coriander leaves at home, you can skip it..

As the final step, break in two eggs into the curry and give it all a good mix so that the egg can cook well and blend with the gravy..
If you are a vegetarian, you can skip adding the eggs and have the curry as such..

Once the eggs are cooked, you can turn off the flame and serve.
Do not make the curry to dry at this point, as it will turn little thicker with time.
